Print Paradiso is a small, fully operational screen printing studio on a local high street in south Bristol. It was created out of a desire to make our own studio and have it visible to the local community, so that lots of people could see the wonderful making processes and machines which come together to make screen printed artwork.
-
We want to share our passion for this manual printing process and show people what wonderful things can be made using these mechanical, interesting machines and wonderful coloured inks.
We believe that making prints isn't hard, is fun and would be of interest to everybody.

Bristol is a wonderfully creative and independents loving city, and screen printing is a fun, inclusive and vibrant practice. So putting the two together in a busy, engaged, growing local community seemed like a good idea.
-
We enjoy showing everyone how to pull a print, and showing them how a big, noisy, clunky machine, with counter-weights and clamps, is really a simple tool to use to make prints on paper or t-shirts or bags or fabric.
-
We love bringing people into a colourful, "characterful (messy)" art studio and letting them pick and mix lucsious coloured inks, before showing them how to squidge them through a stencil to make a cool print.

Print Paradiso was started by Steven (above), who was running away from spending too many years in-front of a computer screen working on code. Steven wanted to work with real machines and (try to) make beautiful prints. And when he found a space on his local high street, he thought that it would be a good idea to put this all on display for everyone to see and use.
-
Steven is assisted by some great helpers including Zoe Dixon, Meli Domagala, Bella Griffiths Portela, Hannah Kelly, Daniel Speight and Anna Marrow.

We are still a young studio (opened Dec 2024) and still feeling our way. But we know what we do is liked and excites people. So come n in and say hi, and get some ink on your fingers.
